SUGGESTED USES

When used at the recommended amount, a 1 ounce bottle should last you around 3-4 months.

Until you know the optimal amount for your use, start by applying a small pea-sized amount. Add 1-2 more drops, as necessary.

For daily use in the morning. Cleanse and tone your face and neck. Put one pump of serum on your fingertips (a pea-size amount) and rub together to warm and evenly distribute the oil. Gently massage the serum onto face and neck. Wait a minute to allow serum to fully absorb then apply your favorite moisturizer.

STORING YOUR SERUM

Natural products have a shorter shelf life than most health and beauty care products because they do not use the same type or same amounts of chemical preservatives. This is one reason Deer Heart Solutions creates small-batch, hand-made products - so you are getting the freshest products we can provide.

To prolong the life of your product and prevent oxidation or bacterial growth, keep the top firmly closed and store your bottle out of direct sunlight and away from heat and moisture.

THE IMAGERY & SYMBOLISM OF FACE FOOD

Wolf

The Wolf

The wolf was chosen as the mascot for Face Food Morning Serum because this blend both nourishes and protects your skin. And it's a product you can trust and use every day.

Wolves are highly intelligent with complex communication systems. They are protective and deeply nurturing. Trust is not given freely but when it is earned they are fiercely loyal.

The wolf has come to symbolize balancing our desire to be independent, wild and free  and our deep committment to building strong community. They show us how to be liberated, free and empowered as well as a loyal, committed member of a pack that works together.

Wolves are prominant in lore from many Native American tribes. They are symbolic of courage, devotion and loytalty, and victory. The Pueblo people call the wolf the Guardian of the East. The  Zuni carve fetishes of wolves for protection and give them to newlyweds for a strong family bond. Wolves were also sacred animals to the Celts and seen as powerful helpers, guides, and symbols of transformation.

If the wolf can teach us anything, it’s that we must protect and care for ourselves and one another.
