SUGGESTED USES

Using a dime-sized amount, a 35 mL (1.2 ounce) bottle will last approximately 4 months if used daily as a sealant or up to 6 months if used weekly as a pre-shampoo treatment.


CONDITIONER BOOST

Detangle and boost softness by adding one pump of serum to your favorite conditioner


SEALANT / STYLING AID / HAIR FRAGRANCE

Tame frizz and fly-aways by applying to dry hair. Seal in moisture by applying to damp hair.


Put one pump of serum (a pea-sized amount) on the palms of your hands and rub for a few seconds to warm and evenly distribute the oil. Lightly brush your palms over the top of your hair and run fingers through your hair. Rub remaining oil on the ends.


You can finish with a low-heat blow out for smooth, shiny hair.


PRE-SHAMPOO / OVERNIGHT

Use once per week. This method is one of the best ways to use hair oil. It prevents dehydration, prevents your hair from getting water-logged, and prevents shampoo from stripping your natural oils.


Put two pumps of serum in your palms and rub together to lightly warm the oil. Grab a small section of hair and run the lower portion through your hand to coat with oil. Apply more serum in small amounts until all ends of your hair have been coated. (No need to saturate.) Leave in for 1 or more hours or overnight, then wash and condition as normal. (You may need to wash twice or use a clarifying shampoo.)


SAFETY

Consult your doctor prior to use if you:

  • are pregnant 

  • take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)

  • have a chronic medical condition

  • use any prescription medication.


This product is for external use only. Do not ingest. Spot test prior to using. Avoid applying near the eyes. Use only the advised amount. Discontinue use should you have an adverse reaction or if there is a noticeable change to the color, texture, or aroma. Keep out of reach of children and pets.


STORING YOUR OIL

Natural products have a shorter shelf life than most health and beauty care products because they do not use the same type or same amounts of chemical preservatives. This is one reason Deer Heart Solutions creates small-batch, hand-made products - so you are getting the freshest products we can provide.

To prolong the life of your product and prevent oxidation or bacterial growth, keep the top firmly closed and store your bottle out of direct sunlight and away from heat and moisture.

The Mountain Goat

I developed this blend as an homage to my sister. Throughout my life, I've envied her beautiful curls - and her tenacity and resilience. She's beautiful, inside and out. She's compassionate, a fearless leader, and invests so much of herself to help make this world a better place.


The mountain goat represents sure-footedness, focus, determination, confidence, and virility. Some say the goat represents stubbornness, but we see it as being sure of mind, perseverance, and tenacity. Mountain goats signify aspirations and ambition. They put in the work necessary to reach their goals. But they also have a playful side - they are often aligned with creativity and curiosity. Mountain goats are calming and seen as nurturing and caring.


Mountain goats show the importance of having aspirations but living in the moment. Know where you are going and be aware of where your steps land. Have personal awareness but remember that you can do more than you think. Believe in yourself. And, during difficult times, remember you are resilient. Persevering through challenges will lead to you becoming stronger.


While this blend brings bounce back to your curls, it also helps you find a place of personal awareness, eases anxiety, releases fear, helps you to manage crises and uncertain times, and emboldens and empowers. So you can stand out from herd by leading it. Just like my sister.
